NEWSARAMA is reporting(read the article here) that Fox has greenlit a movie starring Deadpool , the "merc with a mouth" that will come out in 2016.
This isn't the first time that Deadpool will be featured on the big screen. Ryan Reynolds played the character in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE in 2009. There is no word on whether Reynolds will reprise the role in this film.
It seems that Fox is trying to diversify and use as many characters from Marvel's collection as possible. The only problem I see is that Deadpool is not a household name so Fox may choose to cast a big name actor in the role to attract the casual audience.
I also wonder what tone the movie will take rather as a PG-13 film or an R-Rated film. Deadpool in the comics has always been written with a hard edge that filmmakers could tone down for the movie.
Hopefully, when the movie debuts in February of 2016 it will please both hardcore and casual fans.
