WWE OPINION: ROMAN REIGNS VS. SETH ROLLINS SHOULD HEADLINE WRESTLEMANIA 31

ROMAN REIGNS AND SETH ROLLINS

Jim Ross, Hall of Famer and the former  V.P. of talent relations in WWE said on his blog a few days ago, "Anyone that thinks that Brock Lesnar won't be the WWE World Champion sooner or later this year in WWE isn't paying attention. Lesnar is WWE's mot imposing, name worthy, PPV selling superstar who can PASS THE TORCH the best to the next "Big Thing" who seems to be Roman Reigns. As I have stated on my fantasy booking segments on the Ross Report, I fully expect this to go down at WM31."

As a fan I have the utmost respect for Jim Ross and all that he's done in this business but I have to disagree with him. I know that Brock Lesnar facing Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship would have a tremendous build and it would be the "Unstoppable Force VS. The Immovable Object" but I don't think it's the best match they can put on at WrestleMania 31. Both men are certainly strong and agile but Reigns needs an opponent that can counter his power with speed and cunning to make the match more exciting.

Enter Seth Rollins.

My pick for the main event at WrestleMania 31 would be Seth Rollins (WWE Champion) VS. Roman Reigns (Challenger). This could be an epic match. By the time WM31 rolls around Seth Rollins will have a storied history with Roman Reigns. He already betrayed Reigns and Ambrose and joined up with Triple H and WWE could remind fans of that before WrestleMania.

If I'm WWE, I would have Cena win the title at the Money In The Bank PPV and have Seth win the Money In The Bank briefcase. Afterwards, Brock Lesnar returns and challenges Cena at Summerslam. Brock wins the title at Summerslam in August and then loses it back to Cena in November at Survivor Series. During the match Cena gets injured and that's when Seth Rollins strikes, cashing in his briefcase and wins the title from Cena.

Rollins along with Triple H can put obstacles in Reigns' way until the Royal Rumble where Reigns wins the Rumble match and faces Rollins for the title at WrestleMania 31.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Rollins and Reigns aren't megastars. WWE will need to add something to the match to make it special." That's true and I have just the idea:

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN AS SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE!!!!

With all the bad blood between Rollins and Reigns there could be uncontrollable brawls on RAW leading up to WrestleMania.  Vince McMahon returns and appoints a special referee to control the match with no affiliation to Triple H and Stephanie. Austin would be perfect. He's the ultimate rebel and who better to hand Roman Reigns the torch and anoint him the next superstar of the industry.

It would be an awesome moment in wrestling history and Austin would be able to catapult Reigns through association just as Mike Tyson helped Austin become a household name at WrestleMania 14.

Of course this is all fantasy booking but I think it would be wonderful if WWE took this course. They would be celebrating the past and looking toward the future at the same time.

ROSARIO DAWSON CAST IN NETFLIX DAREDEVIL SERIES

ROSARIO DAWSON

Rosario Dawson has been cast in an unspecified role in Netflix's Daredevil series according to Newsarama (read the article here). She stars alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D'onofrio who have been cast as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and the Kingpin respectively. Rosario Dawson is a well-known movie star and she should bring much clout to this series.

This is not the first time that Ms. Dawson has played a role in a comic book adaptation. She starred in "Sin City" in 2005 and she will appear in its  upcoming sequel, "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For"  in 2014. She also did voice work for the animated Wonder Woman movie in 2009.

I've always thought that Ms. Dawson would make a great Lois Lane or Wonder Woman. She has the talent and the beauty to bring both of those characters to life. I'm sure that whatever character she plays in the "Daredevil" series, it will be memorable.

OPINION: SETH ROLLINS SHOULD BE THE NEXT WWE CHAMPION

SETH ROLLINS

There were two big news items coming out of RAW this week: 1.Seth Rollins turned on his comrades in Shield and joined Evolution and 2. If Daniel Bryan isn't able to defend the WWE Championship will be on the line in a MITB ladder match.

It looks as if Daniel Bryan may not be ready in time for Money In The Bank if the latest reports from CageSide Seats is true (read the article here).

If I were WWE, I would put the WWE World championship in the Money In The Bank ladder match and have Seth Rollins qualify for that match. The match would suit him well since he is so adept at high flying.

Once Seth wins the match, that would solidify him as a top heel and as Evolution's "Golden Boy". He could have top matches against Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Daniel Bryan during the Summer.

WWE has a great angle with a lot of momentum right now. The best way to keep the momentum is to have Rollins win the WWE World Championship at Money In The Bank.

In 2011 we were all treated to the "Summer of Punk" when CM Punk became a main event star. This Summer could be the time that Seth Rollins takes his place at the top.
